Apple iPod Nano -page 2-

Apple iPod Nano

I like to stick to the original purpose of the iPod: an MP3 player. I was never into the video or photo stuff; therefore it doesn't matter too much to me. None the less, it should be taken into account. The only other anatomical difference is the location of the headphone jack. On the standard sized iPod's, you can find the headphone jack on the top. On the Nano, however, that little hole for the headphones is placed on the bottom right. The rest of the bottom is taken up by the docking port. I personally think having the jack on the bottom right is really cool. I use huge Sennheiser's with my Nano, so the headphone plug is basically half the size of the Nano. Thus when it is connected, I can hold the Nano up just by grabbing the headphone plug.

Viva el Nano!

Just in case you were wondering, small size doesn't mean small battery. I have to keep reminding myself my Nano isn't Highlander- it won't last forever. Even so, I barely charge this thing, and it has died on me probably twice. I want to say it lasts longer than the larger iPod, but I don't have a recorded test. But don't worry about this aspect- your Nano won't let you down when you need it most.

Conclusion

Okay so we've said a lot of great things about the Nano. Are there any downsides? Keep in mind kids, this ain't no 20 gigger. The maximum size drive you can get for a Nano is a 4 gig.

Apple iPod Nano

I have 115 gig of music (all legal thank you!) At first it was hard to select songs to put on the thing and then have so many left out. But you get used to it. I think any drawbacks of the Nano can't outdo its incredible design. There are no moving parts, so this is one iPod that will not break on you. It is quite rock solid. With my bigger iPod's, I was concerned about leaving them in the car, but with the Nano, I just slip it into my pocket and forget it's there. True there is no video, the photo capabilities are iffy, but I say who cares? Sometimes bigger isn't always better.
