Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast

Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast

Star Wars fans have lucked out with PC games. There have been many successful games that people have come to love, like Battle for Naboo, Starfighter etc. One game, however, has completely revolutionized Star Wars gaming. Welcome friends, to the wonderful word of Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast.

The Single Player Campaign

Throughout the single player campaign, some pretty sick stuff happens. Putting codes in computers to open doors, driving little robots around through tight spots you can't get into, destroying canons so your troops can land, going down into underground mines... And trust me, this is just the beginning!

The single player campaign starts you off with a highly detailed cinematic of you and Jan in your little ship. Suddenly, you get a message about something mysterious, but the only thing that catches your interest is when you hear a mumble of "Valley of the Jedi," which is your pride and joy from the pervious game. Even though you have given up your powers, you and Jan will be on a mission (for the rest of the game) to find this evil, and kill it to save the Valley of the Jedi.

No Lightsaber?!!

Now right about now you are probably thinking, wait, give up my powers? Does that mean no lightsaber?? I can't play a game like that! I want some good old lightsaber style ass kicking action! Well never fear good readers, because Kyle Katran is here! Once you play through the first few missions of the game, you will go to the Jedi Academy to get some cool training on how to work your newly acquired lightsaber skills. I mean, really, who would want a Star Wars game without a lightsaber?

Weapons that are NOT Lightsabers!

Besides being able to use a lightsaber, there are also some awesome weapons.

Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast

This includes the the E11 Blaster Rifle, Tenloss Disruptor Rifle, Wookie Bowcaster, and trip mine. The E11 Blaster Rifle has a single shot and a full auto mode, so it can act like a machine gun. The Tenloss Disruptor Rifle has a single blast, but has a zoom so you can see enemies from far away. The Wookie Bowcaster shoots either a charge up shot or a reflective shot, with one steady beam or multiple ones. This thing can damage multiple enemies easily. A trip mine can be an instant explosive, or a planted mine. Other weapons include a stun baton, Bryar Blaster Pistol, Imperial Heavy Repeater, DEMP 2, Golan Arms Flechette, Merr-Sonn Missile System, Thermal Detonator, and a Detonation Pack.

Great Multiplayer Mode

Aside from the amazing action and awesomely detailed huge mapped single player campaign, there is also multiplayer! You can play multiplayer over a home network, or over the internet. There are a few types of multiplayer game modes, and each one is flavored for a different type of player. Multiplayer in general is extremely fun, but especially when you are in a big multiplayer game online on a nice map. It is very fun to try and kill multiple people at the same time with different force powers. I really enjoy playing with people I know, so I can brag about my victory to them later.

Overall

In all, there are a few amazing games out there, and Jedi Knight has definitely proven to be one of them. With amazing single player and multiplayer game modes, this game is definitely a must buy for you Star Wars fans.
