The Apple iPod is the newest fad to hit America's young adult audience. In every school or college campus across the nation, students are listening to their favorite tunes with one of the many versions of Apple's iPod's.  And yes, there are many versions. If you are reading this review, I am sure you currently own one of the many iPod's available today. And, if you do own an iPod, you know how important it is to keep it in good condition. Half of the reason for the success of the iPod is its awesome techy look, from the chrome back to the all white front. If you are concerned about keeping your iPod in tip-top shape, read on, because there is a solution for you.

The iSkin eVo is a case that can be used to keep your iPod safe from scratches and dirt. In this review, I tested a Sonic Blue eVo case that fits the third generation iPod, and a Wasabi Green case that fits the 4th gen. First Impression of the iSkin eVo Case

My first impression of the iSkin eVo was that of complete bewilderment; how am I going to get the iPod into this thing?! Actually, it's quite simple. Since the case is made out of a stretchy rubber-like material, it is child's play to stretch the empty area for the screen and slide the iPod in. After I placed the iPod into the case, I took a few minutes to just stare at how incredibly cool my iPod looked. The sonic blue color sure does look nice, and even though the white paint of the iPod is ultra cool, being blue for a change is nice. The fourth gen iPod looked spiffy in the green, taking moments away from my life for me to stare at it. If you don't find blue or green to your liking, there are eight other color options for the eVo case; ranging from ebony black to blush pink. Four of the eVo cases can glow in the dark. Out of these glow in the dark cases, my favorite version would have to be “lava.” It can change from a bright orange to a nice yellow orange color when in the dark. Perhaps the most drastic glow in the dark change is found in the “ghost” color option. In plain light, ghost appears as a ceramic white. But once the lights go out, an aquamarine blue is to be found. Very cool.

Screen Protector Insertion

The next step to setting up your eVo case would be to insert the LCD screen protector. This process is as simple as getting the iPod into the case. The hole through which you inserted the iPod doubles as the place to put the screen protector. All that is necessary of you is to lift the flaps of the case around the edges of the screen, then put the protector in place. And there you have it, a protected iPod. The screen protector works great, as it has four little grips around its edges to ensure it stays attached to the screen. Unlike in the previous eXo cases, the eVo screen protector has no writing on it at all. This means it is absolutely clear, without anything to get in the way of your viewing pleasure. As for the screen, the eVo does a great job, and I couldn't have asked for more.
