iSkin eVo iPod Case -page 2-
Safety Assured with the iSkin eVo Case
While your iPod is in the eVo case, you are pretty much assured that nothing horribly wrong can happen to it. The only exposed parts of the unit are the scroll wheel and the four buttons, as well as a small area for the hold button and headphone jack. For the fourth generation eVo cases, everything is the same however there are no button holes… as the fourth generation iPod has no buttons. The connecting port at the bottom has a small flap that can be easily opened and closed in order to protect the pins when not in use and at the same time to allow for easy access. The eVo case is easy to grip onto, and its beveled button holes make it easy to use the iPod controls. The only bad thing about the eVo at this point is that the actual material of the eVo leads small dust particles or hair to stick to the unit. If you keep the iPod in your pocket, expect lint to be on the case when you take it out. If you have pets, you will get hair on the case. It's a given.
Rubber Material- Stuck in Pockets and Dirt Collector
The rubber material of the case also poses a problem when keeping the device stored in a pants pocket, especially jeans. It becomes very difficult to remove the device because it actually sticks to your pocket. It doesn't stick like GLUE, but it still makes it difficult to get out of your pocket fast.
The RevoClip
The eVo case comes with a belt clip, called the RevoClip, which gives you the option of putting your iPod on your belt or attaching it to something else. The RevoClip may not look sturdy being made out of clear plastic, but in actuality, it is. The clip never broke on me, and was able to remain on my belt tightly during all tests. The clip can be easily attached or taken off, making it easy to store the iPod in your pocket without having a clip jab out. That said, the RevoClip does make it quite a bit thicker, as it protrudes out from the unit a noticeable amount.
Overall
The eVo case retails for about $30. This is quite a hefty fee for a case, but $30 can be considered as a necessary precaution to keep your iPod clean.
