Silent Storm -page 3-
Tons of Gameplay
Don't think that there is not a lot of different material in Silent Storm. Since you can play as both the Allies and the Axis, you will have two different campaigns to try. I can't really describe to you how much gameplay that means. There are tons of different missions, maps, weapons, and other interesting parts of Silent Storm that you may not even uncover because of it's great depth.
No Multiplayer
I was a bit disappointed with the lack of multiplayer, but as I think about it, how would there be a multiplayer? Turn based multiplayer mode… I guess it could work.
Steep Requirements
Graphically, the game looks excellent. The thing I was very surprised with was the steep system requirements. On an AMD 2.0 GHz with an ATI Radeon 9700 128 MB, the game was going very slow at a 1280 x 1024 resolution with a high ant aliasing setting. Once I turned down the resolution to 1152 x 864, the game looked better, yet I had to lower the anti aliasing settings. If you have an older system, watch out. You better try the demo to make sure the game runs smoothly on your system.
Taking Care Not to Kill your Squad
As well as having a good system, you will need to have a lot of patience!
Even on the easy mode I found myself getting killed many times. Considering that I didn't want any of my squad to die, this goal may sound unrealistic. There are plenty of times where I found one or more characters killed over and over again every time I tried to redo a certain mode. So beware, you might be pointing and clicking for quite awhile.
Overall
For the most part, I was very satisfied with Silent Storm. It was hard to get used to at first, and I was a little disappointed with the lack of multiplayer. The steep system requirements was also a minor setback I had to deal with. If you think you have the hardware to handle Silent Storm, as well as the patience to learn it, you're in for a real treat.
