Unreal Tournament 2003
Unreal Tournament 2003 is a game like no other. The game is so intense and so addicting, you will never get enough of it.
Choosing a Crazy Character
You start off by creating a profile, with your name, character, team name, and symbol. There are tons of characters to choose from. There are 7 different types! Juggernauts are the genetically modified humans, who are the toughest in the game. Gorge, a Juggernaut, is often the game's symbol character. Mercs are plain humans that are trained in the combat arts. They may look normal, but their speed is not. Nightmares are insane looking experiments gone wrong. Each one of them looks different, and has different races. Gen Mo'Kai are alien warriors who mean business. They are metallic colors, and extremely agile. Artificial Life-forms are robots designed to do one thing: kill. Egyptian Humans are self explanatory. Each of them has something that reminds you of Egypt, yet they are all humans. The last class is Boos Characters, which can be unlocked after completion of the tournament ladder. All of the characters are different, have a unique bio, and are great fun to experiment and play with.
A Variety of Weapons
The weapons in this game are insane. The assault rifle provides your standard firepower, the bio rifle shoots out globs of green goop that stick to whatever they hit, the flak cannon shoots chunks of bullets at any enemy, the lightning gun provides a single bolt of electricity for perfect sniping, and the link gun gives you some heavy machine gun fire. Other weapons include the minigun, rocket launcher, shield gun, shock rifle, and translocator. The translocator is a cool little device. You aim it at wherever you want to go, fire, and then are re-positioned there. There are also superweapons in the game. These weapons can only be fired once, but they cause mass destruction. The ion painter will shoot a pink laser down from the sky, and any person in its range will be subjected to immediate death. The redeemer shoots one extremely powerful and extremely devastating bullet and causes harm to anything in it's path. You can even steer the rocket in first person mode!!! How cool is that!?
Easy Tutorials
There are 4 tutorial videos that will explain deathmatch, double domination, capture the flag, and bombing run to you. These videos have been designed very nicely, and are easy to understand and fun to watch. After watching the tutorials, you play through 6 qualification missions.
Playing Through the Tournament Ladder
Once you finish the qualification missions, you are ready to play in the tournament ladder. You choose your team, and play through over 20 missions to win the championship. There are 4 game types you play through: Capture the Flag, Bombing Run, Team Deathmatch, and Domination. Capture the Flag is pretty simple.

There are two bases that are symmetrical with a 'no man's land' in the middle. The object of the game is to go to the other team's base and touch their flag. Once you do this, you have to carry it back into your base. You can use your translocator here, so its a lot of fun. Defense will play a big part when you have to retrieve your stolen flag. Bombing Run is sort of like football. It is very team oriented, because you need a good offense, and a good defense. There is a ball in the center of the map. The object of the game is to pick up the ball and either walk or throw it into your enemy's goal. You can pass the ball to a teammate if you are about to die. This helps a lot because you cannot fire any weapons once you are carrying the ball. You get 3 points for a throw into the goal, or 7 points for walking through the goal. This mode is pretty imaginative, and can be lots of fun. Team Deathmatch is simple: kill the other team. Through the crazy levels and the use of incredible weapons, this mode can be a lot of fun. Domination is cool. There are 2 points that teams must capture. Once you walk through a point, you have captured it.
