Unreal Tournament 2003 -page 2-
If a team captures a point for more then 8 seconds, they gain one point. If an enemy walks through your point while controlling it, the clock resets. This mode takes a lot of team work, because you need somebody to guard each point and somebody to chase off enemies while protecting teammates.
Multiplayer is still a lot of fun. Setting up a game is simple, and playing over LAN is a ton of fun.
Trade System is Too Shallow
While playing through the tournament ladder, you can trade new players to your team. They are rated on things such as their accuracy, agility, and aggression. This trade system could have been a lot more in-depth. I was a little upset to find that there was no way to earn money, or play the game in a career mode. This is something UT2004 will have to incorporate.
Great Maps for Fighting
The maps you will play through are all different, and all have things unimagined. In some levels, you will be outdoors. Others inside or in an area with no gravity, so you can jump as high as you want. There will always be perfect places for snipers, as there will also be places to get ready for a surprise attack. You can play the game however you choose: run in with guns a blazing, find the perfect hiding spot and wait, or moving together in groups to eliminate enemies.
AI And Your Narrator
And trust me; you will need strategy. The AI in the game is sharp. Very sharp. They will hit you when you least expect it, and will use their full arsenal of weapons to gladly take you out. While they do this, Mr. Announcer will tell you everything what's going on around you. Even as your body gets ripped in half, you will still hear that same old voice.
Using Adrenaline to Go Insane
One new feature is 'adrenaline.'
By collecting orange and white pills or by killing people, your adrenaline level will eventually reach 100. Once it does, you can use combos like speed, berserk, or regeneration to get bonuses while playing.
Overall
The game would be perfect if not for one thing: it's requirements. In order to see it, you are going to need the ATI Radeon 10000 with an overclocked 3.6 Ghz machine. This game demands CPU and graphic power, so if you don't have the rig, don't be expecting too much.
