If you are not serious, ratings can become a bore to you, but you can just ignore them. During the campaign, however, most of your objectives will revolve around these ratings, so you will have to pay close attention to them.

How Your Casino is Rated

To make Vega$ more of a strategy game, your lot will be rated on different aspects. The better the rating, the more money you will receive and the more customers you will attract. You can have a rating on your overall appearance, cleanliness, how loud your lot is, if there are enough places to rest, and many more aspects. If you are very serious about playing, these are the things you are going to try and achieve. If you are not serious, ratings can become a bore to you, but you can just ignore them. During the campaign, however, most of your objectives will revolve around these ratings, so you will have to pay close attention to them.

Campaign Mode and Objectives

You can play Vega$ Tycoon through a campaign mode, or just by starting out and buying your own lot. The campaign mode gives you objectives you need to fulfill in order to be successful. After beating a mission, you can advance to the next. Objectives include beating a competitor, getting a certain amount of customers to come to your casino, making a certain amount of money, or to gain a good rating on your decoration level, all in a given time frame.

Graphics and Zooming In

Ah... graphics. They are... just amazing. Everything is full of detail, color, and variety. All of the slot machines have numbers and different colors...you can zoom in with the camera and actually see the dial spin on the spinning wheels on the gambling tables. You can spend so much time just looking in awe at all of the detail put into the components of your casino and your lot, that it's… well, mind blowing.

Additional Screenshots

Not only can you zoom in all over your casino, you can zoom in on all the different parts of your lot. That means you can look at all of your different buildings in full detail. Just wait, it gets better. Not only can you zoom in on your lot… you can zoom in on ALL THE OTHER LOTS ON THE ENTIRE STRIP. You can go inside of your competitor's casinos. You can look at their lots in as much detail as if it were your own. It just doesn't get any better than this.

CA-CHING, CA-CHING!

Sound, just like graphics, is superb. You can hear people shuffling through the streets, the DING of your slot machines, and the CA-CHING of coins. Sit back, relax, and hear the sounds of Casino de la Geek.

No Multiplayer

Vega$ doesn't come with any multiplayer, so don't expect to try and compete against your friends online. This would have been a pretty cool thing to include... maybe in an expansion?

Overall

Overall, Vega$ Tycoon is a very cool game. The graphics are the one thing that kept me playing the most, however the game itself is also very cool. There are tons of different customization options which can keep you busy for hours, and the campaign outlines objectives for you to beat. Even with a lack of multiplayer, Vega$ Tycoon is one game you should really pick up.
