Freedom Fighters

Graphics are Great

Graphics are beautiful. As you can see in the screenshots, the game has unique colors, and when things explode into large fiery masses, it can look pretty cool. People are detailed with expressions, and skyline backgrounds look beautiful.

Complicated Saving

There are no unlimited saves in this game. The only way to save is to access a sewer and do a 'quick save.' If you enable autosave, the game will save itself every time after you complete a level. Quick saves are stupid in that when you exit out of the game and then start it up again, you can only start from your last autosave and not your last quick save. You are also not able to go back to a previous mission after it is completed. In one mission, I had to blow up some stuff, and raise the flag (typical). I was nearest to the building with the flag, so I went through and decided I would raise the flag, and then do the other objectives. My bad. Once the flag was raised, the mission turned out to be completed even though I hadn't even attempted the other objectives yet. I wasn't able to go back and get the charisma I hadn't gotten from the other objectives. Why must saving be so complicated!?

Wide Choices of Weapons

Weapons are great. The weapon system only allows you to carry one big gun at a time. This is a little annoying, because in my opinion, it really just limits your possibilities. Your arms range from revolvers to rocket launchers, with machine guns, AK's, shotguns, pistols, and sub machine guns in between. It is fun to experiment with different weapons, but you will always use the standard Molotov cocktail and grenades to wipe out a group of troops.

Freedom Fighters

Its great to watch a perfectly placed Molotov explode and ignite tons of guys on fire. Your guys can all carry different guns, so if you order your guys to attack, you will have a force of shotguns, AK's, and other weapon choices at your side.

A Short Game

The game unfortunately is not very long. If you played for about 7 hours, you could probably be done with the game in a snap. This is a pattern EA has been leaning towards as seen in Medal of Honor: Allied Assault. Fix it people...

Overall

Besides the AI problems and game length, the only other real letdown about Freedom Fighters is the lack of multiplayer. Now really, doesn't EA get it by now? To have another BF1942 type best seller for 2 years, you need a multiplayer mode. I hope they get smarter, or else we will be stuck in our own rooms playing by ourselves for the rest of our lives. Err wait... isn't that what we already do?
